MaskShot is a Chrome extension by Dev Media Design that captures and annotates screenshots on your device. This policy explains what data is stored locally, what is sent when you activate a license, and what we do not do.

What MaskShot does
MaskShot lets you capture a webpage (visible area, region, or full page), blur sensitive information, annotate the image, and copy or save it. Processing happens in your browser.
Data we process
Stored only on your device
-
Screenshots and annotations — kept in Chrome
extension storage (
chrome.storage) so you can reopen recent captures. - License status — when you activate a paid plan, your license key and tier are stored locally so premium features stay unlocked.
Recent history may include sensitive content (emails, account numbers, internal pages). MaskShot does not upload these images. You can clear history anytime from the extension popup (Clear).
Sent to third parties (only when you choose)
- License keys — if you paste a key to activate a subscription, it is sent to Lemon Squeezy to activate or validate your license. See Lemon Squeezy’s Privacy Policy.
- Checkout and billing are handled by Lemon Squeezy on their site; MaskShot does not collect card details.
What we do not do
- No MaskShot account server (there is none).
- No analytics beacons or ad trackers inside the extension.
- No sale of personal data.
- Screenshots are not uploaded to MaskShot.
